April 1, 2018
It’s cold, windy, with light snow flurries, and the sun
peaks at us from time to time. The clouds are grey and white, the land and all
the trees are brown, the blue and yellow that show through between breaks in
the clouds are the only colors of the day. Green and blue are on my mind as we
leave yesterday’s Full Blue Moon, our heart chakras are balancing and awareness
reaches the throat chakra.
Many people are celebrating Easter today. I pray for all of
the babies who were sacrificed for this outdated, holocaustic tradition. And I pray
many, many people leave lamb off the menu today, and all of those pigs, so many
beautiful, loving pigs. My heart aches greatly for all of those families torn
apart, I fear the number. I pray that it is the smallest it has ever been. I pray
change comes easy for many, many people. The damage has been done already. The stores
have been stocked. The murders have taken place, again I fear the number. I fear
the pain I will feel if I know the number, the pain I will feel from knowing I can’t
make it stop. I pray the cries and screams remain in nightmares, maybe then we’ll
see what we’re doing.
Today, I pray. I pray for the animals. I pray for the pain
and suffering in the world. As long as we continue to contribute to the pain
and suffering of living beings, we too shall continue to experience pain and
suffering ourselves. Don’t like what you see in the world? Begin to analyze all
of your thoughts and actions. Are they in line with what you wish to see in the
world? There you might find where to begin.
Today, I pray. I pray for the animals and I give thanks. I give
thanks for all of the love. I give thanks for the love coming from so many
people, the love that is ending animal cruelty. We all want to end humanity
cruelty. But where there is light, we will always find a little dark. And where
there is dark, we will always find a little light. People will suffer, animals will
suffer, it is a part of life. We have the ability and power to choose how we
contribute. Do we knowingly contribute to human suffering? If we don’t pay
attention to where our dollars go when we purchase certain products, we could
be contributing to slave labor, child abuse, along with a number of
environmental issues. It can be difficult to pay attention to every little
thing you buy, but it can be done, and even then can we trust our sources? But…when
we purchase food, especially and specifically meat, we are DIRECTLY
contributing to suffering. There is no way around it. We are buying a dead
animal. Every packaged animal we buy experienced suffering. Their lives were
cut short if they were killed with the mere purpose to be sold for consumption.
I pray more people begin to choose peace. Through peace, we
will no longer wish to contribute to suffering. I pray for peace. Peace reduces
suffering, anxiety, worry, regret, resentment. Peace is an all healing force. When
we wish for peace, we can begin to release all that does not serve peace.
The clouds are passing and the sunshine warms my soul. I wish
for the strong, bold wind to carry and expand the love and peace with it today.
